we have just made the greatest signing in the millers history, we have signed jody morris from leeds. Hes only 25 and has played for chelsea and leeds and now the best club in south yorkshire, the millers.

ONE MAN DOESNT MAKE A TEAM

It is correct that a team does not consist of one man alone, however one man can ‘make’ a team. To ‘make’ something is to give it certain properties, to allow it to fulfil it’s task if you like. One player can do this. Rotherham United have for a long time had a missing link. If a player comes in and fills that gap, the team is made; take away the player and the team is broken. Carl Robinson did this, and now we hope that Jody can do the same: provide the missing link, dry the glue that holds the team together, and provide an outlet for the team, with him as a part of it, to propel themselves towards division one safety. The signing is fantastic for that reason, but not only that. Jody is a big named player, publicity obviously surrounds him and this has already brought press attention to Rotherham. Publicity is in this case a good thing. We have taken a player who, without having the best reputation, is a fine footballer, we have taken him on his footballing merit for the benefit he can bring to our team, this certainly looks good on Rotherham. It gives the club a wider appeal, bigger named players always will and it could work for us in the loan signing stakes, bringing other good players to Millmoor. Jody Morris. A Miller.

yep i agree charlotte, having a big name player like morris may attract other players. I bet paul murray is spitting feathers after rejecting us now. Morris may also bring in extra people to the games, merson did this at walsall. Its all good, would be even better if he stays beyond this season.

He won't stay longer as he will prove himslef again and will move on to a better club, he's using Rotherham as a stepping stone

agreed wack, hes only contracted til the end of the season, he will regain his fitness andmatch practice then probably move on to somewhere like cardiff or reading who are promotion contendors. Maybe Batty will see morris's opportunity and decide to leave leeds and do the same, join the millers!
